Green trees and why we love them

Green trees. One of the most enjoyable traditions of the holiday season is the Christmas tree. Christmas trees come in different types and color, especially if they are artificial. But even with all the choices that have been made available in recent times, many people choose to stick to green trees for Christmas.

Going green with your Christmas tree is quite easy and there are a lot of ways to go about it. You could use living potted Christmas trees, recycled cardboard or you could even purchase LED Xmas lights. If you ask me though, aiming for a living tree is the best way to go green. Apart from the sense of nature it gives, it also is eco-friendly.

Alive trees produce Oxygen and consume carbon dioxide. This fact alone is good news because it helps combat global warming. Another good news is that living trees can last for years if you know how to keep them alive.

That you need to decorate your home for Christmas with a living tree, does not mean that you have to kill a tree. Living trees are a great option, although they are usually small.

The only problem you might encounter if you ply this route is that after about ten days of being indoors, it becomes hard to keep different varieties alive, especially if they are in a heated environment.

However, there is a simple solution to that. After about ten days, all you need to do is bring them outside to their initial temperature and they will do just fine.

Flocked Artificial Christmas Trees

One Christmas tradition that we probably cannot do without is are Christmas trees. Christmas trees are the most prominent symbol that anyone would see around during yuletide. The tradition has been around for many years and is still going to be in practice in years to come.

Since the advent of artificial Christmas trees, it has become the choice of many families and offices across the globe during the holiday season, largely because of its convenience and availability in different sizes and shapes.

Artificial Christmas trees save you the stress of going to cut down trees yourself and dragging it down all the way to your homes.

These days, flocked trees seems to be a big deal during Christmas. If you have no idea what a flocked tree is, it is a tree, (natural or artificial) that has been adorned with artificial snow. Our focus here, however, is on flocked artificial Christmas trees.

You would see for yourselves that artificial flocked trees are an absolute beauty when properly done, especially after their decorating and lighting up. They bring a feeling of warmth and liveliness to the atmosphere as well as complementing the Christmas season.

If you cannot seem to get an already made artificial flocked tree, you could just get an artificial tree and flock it yourself; especially since these days flocking a tree is not rocket science. You just have to get a flocking kit from a Christmas store around, follow the directions on how to flock and in no time, you’d have yourself a flocked artificial Christmas tree.

Pre-lit artificial Christmas trees

Pre-lit artificial Christmas trees. We all know Christmas is not the same without a tree. In such a time as yuletide when we gather family and friends together to celebrate the year, the spirit of the season does not feel complete without the right kind of decoration. The decoration is an important tradition of Christmas; it keeps the kids and the household in general busy and happy.

Christmas trees are usually the centerpiece of holiday decorations. It is general knowledge that alive trees are not ideal for every environment. Artificial Christmas trees, however, can blend into and thrive in any environment.

This Christmas, I would like to recommend that you use a pre-lit artificial Christmas tree as the centerpiece of your holiday décor. Lighted Christmas trees as they are otherwise known are extremely easy to set up and require very little effort to dress up. All that is required for the set-up is throwing in a few ornaments here and there on the tree and you have yourself a Christmas tree that will add flow to your home.

An amazing fact about a pre-lit Christmas tree is that it can be tailor-made to suit your choice of home décor. So whether you want to use it to fill a big space or you need one that’s just small enough for a tabletop, your needs are covered.

These trees are not very easy to differentiate them from their fresh counterparts. This is an added advantage for people that would have preferred a natural tree but couldn’t get.

Christmas wreaths and garlands

Christmas wreaths. Christmas is a season of love. Across the globe, this is a belief that we so dearly hold. The holiday season comes with our usual erecting of Christmas trees, decorations, lights, ornaments, good cheer, a lot of eating and drinking, gifts, cards and different rituals that depicts Christmas.

The decorations go beyond homes to every street and corner. This goes to show how brightened up we want our environment to be during this period. A lot of work is put into making everywhere shine and come alive during the festive season, after all, the season comes with a lot of excitement and appeal; there are a lot of events and activities to look forward to.

Christmas wreaths and garlands have been used as decorations for the holiday seasons for a very long time. Wreaths and garlands can be used to adorn any part of the home whatsoever, whether outside or inside.

Wreaths apart from their usefulness for home décor are also very symbolic items. In many homes, where you see wreaths hung on doors, over the mantle or on windows, they usually are used to symbolize growth and everlasting life.

wreaths and garlands are made of evergreens, mostly pine branches or holly. They could either be real or artificial, the major difference is not in their looks but in how they smell. They could be decorated with many different things, including holly berries, pine cones, fruits, etc. however, the choice of what you decorate your wreath or garland with is ultimately yours.

Should You Choose a Real Christmas Tree or an Artificial Tree

Should You Choose a Real Christmas Tree or an Artificial Tree?

When the holiday season approaches each year, many families are asking the same question: should we have a real Christmas tree or an artificial tree in our home this year? There are advantages and disadvantages to both options, and you should consider your choices before making the decision. Here are a few things that you need to know about artificial trees and real trees from a Christmas farm:

Pros and Cons of Artificial Trees

There are several advantages to an artificial tree, such as less mess to cleanup and the tree can be used over and over again each year. Some people find that artificial trees are more cost effective since the tree can be used for multiple years. Additionally, they like the benefit of having an artificial tree that is pre-lit.

But, there are also drawbacks to this type of fake Christmas tree. For example, you lose some of the Christmas ambiance because the tree doesn’t have the nice scent that is available from a real Christmas tree. Another problem lies in the broken lights and mangled branches that can occur when the tree is put into storage each year.

Pros and Cons of Real Christmas Trees

On the other hand, there are some great benefits to having a real Christmas tree during the holiday season. In fact, many people agree that the pros far outweigh the cons of a real Christmas tree, which is why they continue using a real Christmas tree each year. A real Christmas tree adds a beautiful ambiance to the room, and it adds a nice scent that can’t be replicated with an air freshener or a candle.

The environmental factors should be considered with real Christmas trees. These trees grow on Christmas farms, and they absorb CO2 from the air and also produce oxygen. Additionally, there are Christmas tree recycling programs that can be used to make sure the tree doesn’t go to waste after the holiday season is over.

Many of these farmers use sustainable farming techniques, because they recognize the value in protecting the environment and supporting the health of the farm. Trees are planted several years in advance, to ensure the right number of trees are available for sale during the Christmas season.

Another reason that people continue to use real Christmas trees is because of the tradition that the tree holds within the family. It is a fun family event to pick out the tree each year, and everyone will remember the lasting memories that are developed during this family activity.
